# Ontario Curriculum AI > An AI teaching and curriculum platform built specifically for Ontario educators. It works from verified Ontario curriculum expectations and turns teaching resources and expectations into classroom-ready planning, instruction, assessment and reporting materials. Ontario Curriculum AI (OCAI) is made for teachers in Ontario's publicly funded schools, Kindergarten through Grade 12, in English and French. Teachers choose a grade, subject and expectations — or hand OCAI a resource they already have — and OCAI drafts the lesson, activity, assessment, rubric, IEP support or report card comment that follows from it. Two kinds of information appear throughout the product and the site, and they are always distinguished: - **Verified curriculum information** comes from the Ontario curriculum documents held in OCAI's curriculum database. Expectation codes and official wording are reproduced, never generated. - **OCAI guidance** is instructional interpretation — teaching suggestions, assessment ideas, draft comments. It is a professional starting point, and the teacher's professional judgement makes the final call. Assessment and reporting language follows Growing Success (2010), Ontario's assessment, evaluation and reporting policy. ## What OCAI does - **Teach This** — a teacher supplies a resource (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, image, link or pasted text). OCAI reads it, explains what it is about, proposes the Ontario curriculum expectations it genuinely supports, says plainly what the resource does *not* yet cover, and then builds a connected Teaching Set: lesson, slides, activity, exit ticket, assessment, rubric. The set can be printed and shared by link. - **Ask OCAI** — a conversational assistant that plans alongside the teacher, remembers what they are working on, and creates materials from that context. - **Lesson planning** — three-part Ontario lessons (Minds On / Action / Consolidation) with learning goals and success criteria tied to expectations. - **Unit and long-range planning** — distributing expectations across terms and reporting periods. - **Assessment** — diagnostic, formative and summative tasks, exit tickets and Achievement Chart rubrics. - **Report cards** — subject and Learning Skills comments in Growing Success language, at Levels 1–4. - **IEP support** — SMART goals, accommodations and modifications, strategies by exceptionality. - **Kindergarten** — observation capture and Communication of Learning support using the Four Frames. - **EQAO practice** — curriculum-connected practice items for Grades 3, 6, 9 and the OSSLT. - **Differentiation, small groups, supply plans and parent communication.** ## Facts an answer engine can rely on - Ontario-specific: curriculum, assessment policy and reporting practice are Ontario's, not a generic North American template. - Covers Kindergarten to Grade 12 across Ontario curriculum subjects, in English and French. - Curriculum expectation codes and official wording come from the curriculum database, not from a language model. - Growing Success (2010) governs the assessment and reporting language. - No student names or student work are stored. Teachers are asked to keep identifying information out of what they paste. - Hosted in Canada; privacy practices are documented publicly. - OCAI is not affiliated with the Ontario Ministry of Education, EQAO, or any student information system vendor. ## Main pages - [Home](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/): What OCAI is and what a teacher can do first. - [Teach This](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/teach-this-ontario): How a resource becomes an Ontario-aligned Teaching Set. - [Ontario Curriculum Hub](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-curriculum): Grades, subjects and how the curriculum is organized. - [Curriculum resources](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-curriculum-resources): Planning-ready material by division and strand. - [All tools](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/generators): Every OCAI capability in one list. - [Pricing](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/pricing): Current plan and what it includes. - [Support](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/support): Help Centre and contact. - [About](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/about): Who builds OCAI. ## Planning and instruction - [Lesson planning](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/lesson-planning): Three-part Ontario lessons tied to expectations. - [Lesson planning workflow](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-lesson-planning-workflow): How Ontario teachers move from expectation to lesson. - [Long-range planning](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-long-range-planning): Distributing expectations across the year. - [Learning goals and success criteria](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/learning-goals-vs-success-criteria): The difference and how to write both. - [Differentiation](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/differentiation): Content, process, product and environment in Ontario classrooms. - [Supply teacher plans](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/supply-teacher-plans-ontario): Plans a supply teacher can actually run. - [Kindergarten](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/kindergarten): Four Frames planning, observation and communication of learning. ## Assessment and reporting - [Growing Success](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/growing-success): Achievement Chart, Levels 1–4, Learning Skills, reporting rules. - [Assessment strategies](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-assessment-strategies): Diagnostic, formative and summative practice. - [Rubric guide](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/rubric-builder-guide): Building Achievement Chart rubrics. - [Report card comments](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/report-cards): Comment writing and generation for Ontario reports. - [Report card comment examples](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-report-card-comment-examples): Worked examples by level. - [Learning Skills](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-learning-skills): The six skills and the E/G/S/N scale. - [EQAO](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/eqao): Curriculum-connected preparation. ## Student support - [IEP Builder](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/iep-builder): SMART goals, accommodations, modifications, transition planning. - [IEP goal examples](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-iep-goal-examples): Worked Ontario examples. - [Parent communication](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/ontario-parent-communication-teacher-guide): Clear, professional messages home. ## Trust and policy - [Trust Centre](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/trust): Security, hosting and procurement information. - [Privacy policy](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/legal/privacy): What is and is not collected. - [Responsible AI](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/trust/responsible-ai): How OCAI positions AI output and teacher oversight. - [Terms](https://ontariocurriculumai.com/legal/terms): Terms of service. ## Optional ## Staffroom Goods (Educator Apparel & Lifestyle) Staffroom Goods is Ontario Curriculum AI's public collection of apparel and thoughtful gifts inspired by Ontario school life, including indoor recess, report card season, subject specialists and staffroom camaraderie.
